"It's a wonderful brain exercise every day," is the way the editor-in-chief of Town Magazine, Blair Knoble describes her job.  The Furman University art graduate told us that creating each issue of Town is like cooking a fine meal.  You have different complex dishes that have to be finished on time, making certain that the seasoning is right, having all the right ingredients and making sure none of it burns.  What is served each month is the culture of Greenville and beyond beautifully expressed in word and images.

The Stories of the Upstate™ #189: (Heather Kitchen) "I was the shortest person in my graduating class."

We get our 188th story from Heather Kitchen,
owner of Heather Kitchen Images and Editor-in-Chief of Upstate Exposure Magazine.

A mom taking photos of her kids was the unlikely beginning that led to a passion for photography which in turn led Heather Kitchen into her amazing career as owner of Heather Kitchen Images and Editor-In-Chief of Upstate Exposures Magazine.  Heather never pictured this career when she was a 6th grade band camper convinced she was destined to be a professional clarinet player.  Seems for Heather, a picture is worth a thousand notes.
